Great Sand Dunes' Education Team offers free distance learning programs to classrooms and groups of all ages!
Educators can connect with a Great Sand Dunes park ranger to learn more about geology (sand dunes, mountain building), ecology (wildlife, endemic insects, habitats, adaptations), cultural history, and the NPS mission. If you ever wondered about a career in the Park Service, you can learn more by interviewing a park ranger.
The Education Team is happy to meet educator needs with a 20-40 minute live program. If you are interested, you will need a computer, tablet, or device with a webcam, internet connection, and access to a video conference platform.
Rangers can meet you through Zoom, Google Meets, Teams and more. Great Sand Dunes is on Mountain Time! Keep that in mind when scheduling your virtual field trip.
