Missing Man Marc Buckhout

Grand Canyon, Ariz.– The Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report of a missing individual on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

Marc Buckhout, 36, was reported missing by a member of his family on Saturday evening. Mr. Buckhout is described as 5’9’, 175 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on August 2, 2014 hiking along the South Rim west of Grandview Point in the vicinity of Highway 64.

Search efforts are currently underway and the National Park Service is conducting an investigation into the whereabouts of Mr. Buckhout. Visitors who may have any information regarding Mr. Buckhout’s whereabouts are asked to contact Grand Canyon National Park Silent Witness Program at 928-638-7767.
