Grand Canyon, Ariz.– Celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 26, with free entrance to Grand Canyon and all national park units across the country.
National Public Lands Day promotes enjoyment and stewardship of our nation's public lands. It has become the nation's largest single-day, hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance public lands.
Fee-free designation applies to entrance fees only and does not affect fees for camping, reservations, tours, or use of concessions. Park entrance stations will have the Interagency Senior and Annual passes available for those who wish to purchase them. Visitors who plan to spend time in the park beyond September 26 will need to pay the regular entrance fee the remainder of their stay. Veterans Day, November 11, will be the last fee-free day of 2015.
Grand Canyon National Park would also like to remind motorists to use caution on the roads when traveling in the area. Watch for deer and elk and share the road with bicyclists.
