The NPS has implemented a site-specific restoration program to address on-site impacts, with focus on popular use areas and campsites.
The work includes trail maintenance, social trail obliteration, revegetation of denuded areas, invasive plant management, campsite delineation, and other methods used to address impacts to archeological sites.
- A trip conducted in October-November 2006 completed work at Buck Farm, Saddle, Little Nankoweap and Nankoweap, the LCR, Hance, Granite, Hermit, Crystal, Tapeats, and Deer Creek.
- The March 2007 trip included work projects at Soap Creek, South Canyon, Nankoweap Point Camp, Lava/Chuar, Tanner, Hance and Lava Scout trail.
