“Great Basin has been working hard to improve the quality of the experiences visitors have in the park, especially with improvements in our campgrounds,” said Acting Superintendent Curt Dimmick. “These modest increases will provide additional fee revenue that will continue to fund enhanced visitor services which is especially important in light of increasing visitation to the park.”
Visitation at Great Basin National park was up by 25% in 2016, to a total of 144,846 visitors. Visitation totals for 2017 are not yet available, but preliminary data suggests an increase over the 2016 total.
