Golden Gate National Recreation Area, CA—Fleet Week "Blue Angels" activities can bring traffic to a standstill in and around the waterfront areas of Golden Gate National Recreation Area and San Francisco Maritime National Historic Site. Due to traffic congestion from Fleet Week, parking will be extremely limited on October 11 and 12. It is highly recommended to use public transit (MUNI), bicycle, taxi or carpool when visiting these areas. All parking at Fort Point is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis for people with a valid ADA state placard or license plate.

The National Park Service is coordinating with the California Highway Patrol, CalTrans and other law enforcement agencies to protect visitors, manage traffic and parking, and protect the resources during this very popular event. The areas most affected by traffic and congestion include Aquatic Park, Crissy Field and Fort Mason(San Francisco), Conzelman Road (Marin Headlands), and Fort Baker.

Many access roads will have active traffic management to protect visitors, and some park areas will be closed to protect sensitive habitat and historic structures. Vehicle closures include Satterlee Rd. at Fort Baker and various parking areas along Crissy Field, upper Fort Mason and Aquatic Park. Follow signs and directions of staff for your safety and that of others in the area.

Conzelman Rd. in the Marin Headlands will be open to ONE WAY traffic onlytraveling east from11:30AMuntil one-hour after the Blue Angels performance. To enter the Marin Headlands after11:30AM, vehicles must enter through the 5-minute tunnel on Danes Rd. Parking along Conzelman Rd. is limited and the road will be closed once it is filled to capacity. Traffic management will remain in effect until the congestion subsides- usually one-hour after the Blue Angels performance ends.

Please do your part to protect your parks by taking everything with you that you bring including trash.
