As part of its efforts to get the word out on the consequences of climate change and to encourage visitors to do their part to counter this threat, Golden Gate has recently installed two new outdoor exhibits. These exhibits illustrate how future sea level rise will affect the San Francisco shoreline.

One exhibit is located on the Golden Gate Promenade at Crissy Field on the bridge crossing the marsh entrance. This exhibit includes a pole with future sea level marked on it as well as an exhibit panel. The second exhibit panel on Alcatraz Island by the Cell House overlooks San Francisco.
