Alcatraz Island offers a unique setting for private tours. Please review a few of our most basic site use conditions:
- Private events are only permitted after daytime hours, on evenings when no public tours are scheduled. With a very few exceptions, this means that almost all private tours and special events must be scheduled on a Sunday or on a Monday.
- No private events or tours are allowed during daytime hours.
- No weddings are permitted on Alcatraz.
- Private events on Alcatraz must be conducted in areas that are historically appropriate; for example, entertainment activities are not allowed in the main cell block areas. Receptions with catering are not allowed on island.
