Kirke Wrench NPS For the first time ever, Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) is opening opportunities for local food truck operators to bring fresh flavors to the region’s most iconic coastal destinations. As part of a new pilot, two food truck parking spaces located at each of two beach-side locations within the park will be leased out via a competitive bid process. Vendors with the winning bids will receive exclusive use of a designated, prime parking space at either Rodeo Beach or Baker Beach for one year, subject to the terms and conditions of the lease agreement. With year-round visitor traffic at both lease locations for sightseeing and recreation, this pilot provides operators with a chance to reach new customers and offers a new type of visitor service in these parts of GGNRA. Precise locations and parking space sizes can be found in the attached Request for Bid and Draft Lease materials. If you’re ready to showcase your culinary creativity for visitors at some of the Bay Area’s most iconic coastal destinations, respond to the Park’s Request for Bids! This opportunity has also been posted to SAM.gov. Click here to see the SAM.gov post for Baker Beach and Rodeo Beach. Mark your calendars – here are the important milestones for interested parties:
Interested parties should respond to the Request for Bids for the food truck location they are most interested in. If an interested individual or entity is interested in both locations, they will need to submit a response to each Request for Bid separately. The National Park Service will not be accepting questions or offering a site visit as a part of this process.
