For hundreds of years, Crissy Field has been a remarkable place. Over time it has experienced significant change yet it remains a special site where people gather, stories are created, and joy and play unfold.
Today, people from all over are drawn to Crissy Field for relaxing waterfront strolls, picnicking with family and friends, programming for youth, volunteering, and enjoying abundant recreational opportunities. It’s truly a uniquely, beloved spot.
Nearly 20 years after its restoration, continuing the transformation of Crissy Field has become important with a growing urban population, unique natural and cultural features, and a changing climate. Crissy Field Next aims to enhance the area’s many current uses, while improving ways for people to gather, create, and play.
That’s why the National Park Service, the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and the Presidio Trust are embarking upon the next chapter of Crissy Field’s revitalization, and we’re eager for your input and participation.
