The National Park Service has released a Finding of No Significant Impact(FONSI) for the proposed expansion of the climate monitoring program in Glacier Bay. Eight additional Remote Automated Weather Stations and two data-logging thermistors will be placed within the park and preserve beginning in August 2015.

The FONSI concludes a multi-year project development and environmental impact analysis process that describes potential effects to designated wilderness, wildlife, native vegetation, visitor experience, natural soundscape, and cultural resources. The completed FONSI, Environmental Assessment, and supporting documents are available here.
