SAVANNAH, GA – Fort Pulaski National Monument will reopen Sunday, October 2nd following Hurricane Ian. Park officials completed an assessment of the park’s facilities and resources on Saturday and found little damage. The national monument closed on September 28th in anticipation of impacts from Hurricane Ian. All visitor facilities will be open on their regular schedule from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. While little damage was observed, please use caution when exploring the park via trails. There may still be some hazardous limbs and branches present.
Fort Pulaski National Monument is located on U.S. Highway 80, 15 miles east of Savannah.
