Join us as we take a look at the hospital and some of the activities that might have gone on in the many rooms. Where you can find the hospital now and where this video was filmed is not the original location of the Post Hospital at Fort Larned. Among the collateral duties filled by enlisted men on post would be manning the Post Bakery. The amount of bread baked every day would depend on how many men would be stationed on post. It was very important to sustain a Post Bakery in order to provide the men with fresh bread and keep them a little happier than if they had to eat hardtack. While working in the bakery wasn’t the most action-packed place to work, there were some interesting events that happened to those working in the Post Bakery.
