Sir:

In submitting my affidavits of stores (condemned and otherwise destroyed by fire January 2, 1869, in compliance with instructions from Hd. Qtrs per the of Sept 10^th inst. I respectfully ? the favorable consideration of the additional evidence presented by me April 19^th, 1870 which, taken into consideration with the statement of Major M. H. Kidd, 10^th Cavalry, now forwarded and which could not be had personally owing to his absence; will, I hope, show that neither carelessness nor improper performance of duty should be imparted to me.
