Discover the winter landscape at Florissant Fossil Beds on Saturday, February 5th at 1:00 pm with volunteer naturalist Allan Studer. He will be leading a 1 – 2 mile nature hike starting from the visitor center. Following the hike, sip on hot chocolate while a program on bears and mountain lions is presented.

Saturdays with a Scientist is back with Dr. Bob Carnein. This is a good opportunity to bring in your mystery rocks or fossils for identification. The program will run from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm on most Saturdays.

The Fossil Beds will be offering other programs throughout February and the winter.

Did you know that Children 15 and under are always free? Adults are only $3. Ask about the Florissant Fossil Beds annual pass or any of the other federal passes available at Florissant Fossil Beds.

Please call (719) 748- 3253 for further information and weather updates.
