The Florissant Fossil Beds is hosting its popular winter programs called Huts, Hikes, and Hot Chocolate. On December 26th and 27th and January 3rd at 11:30 visitors will meet by the woodstove in the yurt for a hot beverage and then go on a 1 hour ranger-led hike to experience the Monument in winter. Call ahead for weather conditions. In the afternoon of the 26th and 27th, the fossil discovery lab will be open from 1 – 3 PM. The Monument will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Days.
