Come visit the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument for free on Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6, 2010 in celebration of National Trails Day. Spend the day hiking the Monument’s trails and discovering more than just fossils. There are 14 miles of hiking trails of various difficulty levels from which you can choose.
Saturday, June 5th, 2010 also begins the Monument’s extended summer hours which are 8AM – 6PM. These hours will run through Labor Day, 2010.
A variety of ranger programs will be available throughout the weekend. Please call for times. In addition to the ranger programs visitors can enjoy the park film and exhibits, or, for kids, take part in the Junior Ranger Program.
