If you're looking for a reason to get outdoors tomorrow in this beautiful south Florida weather - Everglades National Park is pleased to invite the community to visit our Artists in Residence, Joanna Kidd and Danni Downing at the Anhinga Trail (Thursday, April 12, 2012).

Joanna and Danni will be on site from 2:00-5:00 pm and will be working on a video inspired by their experiences, particularly the sense that man is passing through the Everglades landscape. The artists request the participation of park visitors in this project. They will photograph participating visitors, and these photographs will be turned into line drawings. The video will use slowly changing images of the park, which will be overlaid with quickly flickering images of park visitors.

Danni Downing is a full-time editor and photographer for a non-profit in Washington, DC, but developed her love of nature and photography in New Hampshire. Joanna Kidd is a northern California artist who works in sculpture, video, and printmaking.
