First Amendment Activities

In conformity with the rights that are guaranteed in the United States Constitution, the National Park Service manages the right of the people to exercise freedom of speech, and groups to assemble peacefully on park land. Examples of first amendment activities include a church service, political event, or freedom-of-speech activity. Demonstrations involving 25 persons or fewer may be held without a permit within designated park areas. There are no charges if a permit is required.
