BUSHKILL, PA: Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Superintendent John J. Donahue announced today that the parking area at the Hidden Lake dam on Hidden Lake Road in Middle Smithfield Township will be closed from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4 for safety inspections and routine maintenance. It will re-open at4 p.m.barring any unforeseen circumstances. Work will consist of inspecting the outflow pipe and clearing any obstructions. “Doing this type of inspection and preventative maintenance makes the dam safer for everyone that uses the lake and safety is a top priority for the National Park Service,” stated Superintendent Donahue. |
