Devils Tower, WY – Devils Tower National Monument invites everyone to join in the fun on Saturday, September 27th. In celebration of National Public Lands Day, entrance fees will be waived. National Public Lands Day, now in its 21st year, educates Americans about the environment, natural and cultural resources, and the need for shared stewardship of valued, irreplaceable lands.NPLD builds partnerships within the community based on mutual interests in the enhancement and restoration of America's public lands and improves public lands for outdoor recreation with volunteers assisting land managers in hands-on work. Volunteers will help enhance the environment of the Tower by joining park rangers in a variety of projects on September 27th.Call the volunteer coordinator at 307 467 5283 to find out how you can help.Bring your favorite pair of work gloves, a refillable water bottle and sturdy footwear, other tools will be provided.Beverages will be provided by the Devils Tower Natural History Association. Also, join a special interpretive program presented at the base of the Tower. Meet the ranger in front of the park visitor center at 10 am.Plan to hike, photograph, watch wildlife, and enjoy all outdoor recreation.
