Devils Tower National Monument and the Devils Tower Natural History Association present a spectacular family fun summer! Ranger evening programs occur Sunday through Thursday, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Special guest performances Friday and Saturday evenings round out the 2019 summer evening programs. All programs begin at 8:30 pm in the amphitheater across from the picnic area.

“We thank the Lyle Miller family for sharing Lakota history, culture, storytelling, and art this past weekend.  About 35 people attended the presentation each evening. We look forward to hosting other guest performers. Please join us for educational evenings this summer,” said Superintendent Amnesty Kochanowski.

June 7 and 8: Indiana Bones, “Keeper of Legends,” is an Emmy award-winning writer, producer, and performing artist. Indy thrills and educates audiences with his unique storytelling abilities.

June 14 and 15: Kevin Locke, is a member of Lakota and Anishinaabe tribes. He is a preeminent player of the Native American flute, a traditional storyteller, hoop dancer, cultural ambassador, recording artist, and educator.

June 21 and 22:  Gigi Love is a singer/songwriter whose music is inspired by our national parks. She will perform acoustic versions of her national park songs.

June 23: The Old Settlers’ Picnic begins at 12 noon in the picnic area.  Pioneer gatherings at the Tower began in the 1890s and became known as the Old Settlers’ Picnic. Join us as we pay tribute to pioneer families with music and ice cream!

July 5 and 6: Meet President Theodore Roosevelt as he shares his conservation legacy, which included designating Devils Tower as the first national monument.  Portrayed by Gib Young, Theodore Roosevelt comes alive through this living history presentation!

July 26 and 27: Enjoy the lively cowboy poetry and music of Chance Dennis as he presents western life in the Black Hills.

August 9 and 10: Chance Ensemble invites you to take a walk in the woods with the words of John Muir.  A musical tribute to one of our country's most influential naturalists is composed and performed by Cheryl Leah and Ed Willett.

August 23 and 24: Robert Dennis presents cowboy poetry and music from a lifelong love affair with the Black Hills.

August 30 and 31: Will Buckman is a local climber and former park ranger. Hear the story of this “Sundance Kid” as he shares his journey, starting with climbing a strange rock formation in his hometown backyard.
