Contact: Nancy Stimson, 307-467-5283 Entrance and campground fees at Devils Tower National Monument will increase on January 3, 2017. This is the monument's first fee increase since 2008. A new fee schedule for park entrance and campground fees was proposed last July and public feedback and comments were invited during a one month comment period. The new entrance and campground fee schedules are shown below.
Entrance fees have supported a wide range of projects which improve visitor experiences including trail maintenance, replacing flooring in historic structures, replacing campground fire grates and water hydrants, addressing traffic congestion and parking issues, and the monitoring/suppression of Mountain Pine Beetle, Entrance fees are not charged to persons under 16 years old, or holders of Senior, Access, or Military passes. These passes may be acquired at the park or online. An NPS report shows that 478,830 visitors to Devils Tower National Monument in 2015 spent $29,889,500 in communities near the monument. That spending supported 477 jobs related to tourism. Through October, monument visitation is up 3.5 percent over the record levels of 2015. |
