Gunnison, CO:  The National Park Service will be providing opportunities to view the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21. Join rangers at the Elk Creek Campground Amphitheater from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm as the moon passes over 85% of the sun's face. Bring eclipse glasses if you have them; rangers will have some to share among the viewers. Parking is limited. Please carpool if you can.

The Cimarron Visitor Center will be open Sundays and Mondays, from 9 am to 4 pm into early September. The volunteer host will be available those days at 1 pm for a tour of the train yard and Engine 278. Please note that the visitor center and tours will not be available on Sunday or Monday, August 20 and 21.

The Morrow Point Boat Tour season has been extended through September 24. Reservations are available now for tours through the end of the season. Call the Elk Creek Visitor Center at (970) 641-2337, ext. 205 for reservations and further information.
