The path that runs from the Beaver Creek Picnic Area to the tunnel under US Highway 50 will be under construction during April. The project is scheduled to begin April 4, with some full closures anticipated at least one day of each week. Tunnel access will be open during all weekends. A temporary path, marked by cones along the worksite, will provide river access.
The path is being upgraded to be accessible to a wide range of users to provide access to the picnic area between the parking lot and tunnel. The current path has degraded asphalt, which has been cracking and heaving. The project is anticipated to take about a month, lasting through the end of April.
Thank you for your patience as the National Park Service upgrades our recreational infrastructure for your safety and enjoyment.
