The Junior Ranger program is a fun and meaningful way to learn more about Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site—and anyone of any age can participate!

Pick up a free Junior Ranger Activity Booklet from park staff at the Visitor Center information desk. Need a pencil? We’ve got you covered!

Complete the activity pages in the booklet. You can ask a parent, friend, or park ranger if you need help! Depending on your age group, complete the following number of pages:

  • Elementary School: at least 3 pages
  • Middle School / Junior High: at least 4 pages
  • High School: at least 6 pages
  • Adult: at least 8 pages

When you're done, return your booklet to a ranger at the Visitor Center. You’ll receive your official Junior Ranger badge as a reward for your hard work!

Can’t Visit in Person? You can still earn your badge from home.

  • Request a booklet: Email us at chsc_info@nps.gov to ask for a mailed or digital copy—or download it here.
  • Complete the activities listed above.
  • Send your completed booklet to us by email or through the mail.
We’ll review your work, return your booklet, and send you a Junior Ranger badge by mail!
