Road Construction on Poe Road in Chickamauga Battlefield

Fort Oglethorpe, GA: Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park continues road construction on three roads in the park. The roads were scheduled to be closed one at a time, due to unforeseen circumstances a portion of Glenn Kelly will remain closed, while construction starts on other roads. The roads include Glenn-Kelly Road, Poe Road and Battleline Road.

On Monday, May 16, construction is scheduled to begin on Poe Road. During the closures, all public traffic including motorists, equestrians, pedestrians and bicyclists are prohibited from using the closed sections. Detours will be posted. All work is scheduled to be complete by October 30, 2022.
