Fort Oglethorpe, GA: Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and Outdoor Chattanooga will conduct two FREE programs on Friday, June 28. At 8:30 am, staff will lead a 1 hour and 45 minute historical kayak tour around Maclellan Island. Then, at 10:30 am, a ranger will lead a 90 minute walking tour across Walnut Street Bridge, discussing the importance of Ross’s Landing. Both programs begin at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River Street, Chattanooga, TN. The kayak tour is made possible through the generosity of the park’s local philanthropic partner, the National Park Partners. The walking tour does not require reservations, but the following reservation and paddler requirements must be met prior to participating in the kayak tour.

PADDLER REQUIREMENTS
Participants must be 14 years of age or older
Participants must know how to swim.
Outdoor Chattanooga and the National Park Service reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time at their discretion, due to weather or water conditions. Participants will be notified as soon as possible if there is a cancellation. The rain date for this event is Friday, July 12 at 8:30 am. If you must cancel your reservation for any reason, please try to do so with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Please call between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday to cancel a reservation.
