New Junior Ranger Book

Fort Oglethorpe, GA: Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park’s education staff are pleased to announce the immediate unveiling of a new Junior Ranger Adventure Booklet. Prospective Junior Rangers can pick up a booklet from the information desks inside the Chickamauga Battlefield or the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Centers. Included in the booklet are a few required pages and lots of “you pick” park-centric activity pages to complete based upon participants’ ages. Upon successful completion of the program, potential Junior Rangers will bring their booklets back to the visitor centers in order to receive their official park Junior Ranger badges and be sworn in as Junior Rangers at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. There is no charge for the booklet, but we do ask that kids and adults alike come with a thirst for learning about the nation’s oldest and largest national military park.

The National Park Service Junior Ranger Program is an activity based program conducted in almost all parks, and some Junior Ranger programs are national. 

This new Junior Ranger booklet is made possible through funding provided by America’s National Parks, the park’s cooperating association which manages the bookstores located in the visitor centers at Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain Battlefields.
