CEDAR CITY, Utah – With fall colors now fading and cooler weather settling across the plateau, Cedar Breaks National Monument is beginning its annual transition toward winter operations. Several park facilities are now closed for the season, while State Route 148 remains open until snow accumulation makes travel unsafe.

The new Cedar Breaks Visitor Center, the Zion Forever Project Store, and the Human History Museum are now closed for the season. These facilities will reopen in late spring when conditions allow.

All flush restrooms at the Visitor Center are closed for the season. Vault toilets located at the Point Supreme Picnic Area will remain available but will not be serviced during the winter months. Access to the vault toilets may be limited once snow accumulates.

Cedar Breaks National Monument thanks visitors for a beautiful fall season and encourages everyone to monitor conditions before traveling to high elevations.
