Internship Opportunities

Are you a student? Cedar Breaks offers many paid internship opportunities during the summer season. Check out the options below to see what is currently available.

Intergovernmental Internship Cooperative (IIC)

The Intergovernmental Internship Cooperative (IIC) is a partnership between Southern Utah University and the Land Management Agencies and native American Tribes of Southern Utah, Northern Arizona and Eastern Nevada. Together, we develop challenging Internship opportunities for Students from most SUU degree programs and in a diversity of exciting professional fields. IIC Partners mentor their Interns providing "real world" work experience that can complement their academic pursuits and help prepare them for a successful career.

Student Conservation Association Internships

You may also wish to contact the Student Conservation Association (SCA) about volunteer positions. SCA positions are generally full-time, twelve-week positions in public or private natural resource management agencies throughout the United States.

Transportation costs and bi-weekly stipends are paid by SCA. Cedar Breaks hires interpretive interns through this program each year. Park housing is provided for SCA's. For more SCA information and an application, go to www.thesca.org.
