While in Middletown:
Tour Belle Grove Plantation, the manor house and its gardens and grounds.


Visit Hupp's Hill Civil War Museum, located in Strasburg at 33229 Old Valley Pike.

Take a driving tour of the Cedar Creek Battlefield. Driving tour booklets are available for sale at the Cedar Creek Battlefield Visitor Center, Hupp's Hill Civil War Park, Belle Grove and Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historic Park Visitor Contact Station. Or utilize one of the Park's self-guided driving tours of the Cedar Creek Battle.

Attend the annual reenactment of the Battle of Cedar Creek. This event is held every October in the Park.

Tour the battlefields of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Heritage Area. This region of the Northern Shenandoah Valley stretches from Augusta and Highland counties in the south to Frederick County in the north and encompasses over thirteen Civil War battlefields.
