Color Correction Eyeglasses

Catoctin Mountain Park has color correction eyeglasses available for loan during visitor center operating hours. There is no cost to borrow the glasses.

The glasses filter colors in a way that helps an individual who has a red/green color blindness see those hues. The eyeglasses are available in adult and children’s sizes. Note: the success of color correction varies by user.

Tactile Exhibits

There are tactile models in the Catoctin Mountain Park Visitor Center, located at:

Thurmont, MD 21788

There are models to visitors understand the park’s history and culture, including: a raccoon, a snake, a rabbit, a radio, tree trunks, barrels, tools, and stones.
