Visitor Center

The visitor center is located at:

14707 Park Central Rd
Thurmont, MD 21788

The visitor center has:

• A small, open area with children’s books and seats.
• A room with various exhibits including tactile animals, stones, and tools, artifacts in cases, a fireplace and radio, pages that can be flipped, and a screen with moving photographs.
• An information desk.
• A passport stamp station.
• A bookstore.
• Restrooms; split by gender.

The visitor center is generally quiet. Visitors can exit outside to find a quieter space if it becomes too loud inside.
