There are limited services in the park, there are no restaurants or gas stations within the park boundaries. The park is surrounded by many small towns where visitors can find groceries, restaurants, lodging, gas, firewood, and more. If you are travelling from Zion or Bryce on Route 12, you will pass through Boulder. When you reach the junction with State Route 24, you will be on the edge of Torrey. The majority of businesses are west of this junction. There are also a couple restaurants and hotels east of this junction on your way to the park. If you are coming to the park from the west or north on State Route 24, you will pass through Loa, Lyman, Bicknell, and Torrey. If you are arriving to the park from the east on State Route 24, you will come through Hanksville and Caineville. NOTE: Many local businesses are closed during the winter off-season, as well as on Sundays year-round. FoodThere are a number of restaurants in the nearby towns. Torrey is the closest to the west of the park and Hanksville is the closest to the east.Groceries are available seasonally in Torrey and year-round in Loa. There is also a small year-round grocery store in Hanksville. Camping and LodgingPrivate campgrounds and lodging are located in all nearby communities. Public lands are located adjacent to the park and offer developed campgrounds and dispersed camping.Laundry and ShowersLaundry facilities are available for a fee in Torrey, 11 miles (18 km) or Loa, 28 miles (45 km) west of the visitor center on Highway 24.Currently the only place offering public showers for a fee is the Chuckwagon Lodge at 12 W. Main St. They are open March to October. Wireless Access and Cell ServiceThe visitor center has free public WiFi.WiFi is also available and numerous businesses in neighboring communities. Cell service is available in most nearby towns, depending on the provider. Cell service is not available in the park. GasolineThe nearest gasoline and fuel is available in Torrey (11 miles/ 18 km west) and Hanksville (37 miles/ 60 km east).Alternative FuelsPlan your trip with the Alternative Fueling Station Locator from the Department of Energy (search for zip code 84775).Medical FacilitiesBasic medical and dental care and a pharmacy are available at the Wayne Community Health Center in Bicknell. Take Utah Highway 24 west 18 miles (29 km) to Bicknell. Once in town, go approximately 0.5 mile (0.8 km) further on Highway 24 to 300 West (across from the Aquarius Inn).
