Artist-in-Residence Kit Frost will present a one-hour evening program on the History of Art in our National Parks on Monday, August 28, 2017. This program will start at 8:30 p.m. MDT at the campground amphitheater. Kit will show examples of artists whose work inspired the formation of our National Parks and contemporary events in progress throughout the National Parks. Kit’s slideshow will include samples of new artwork created during her tenure as Artist-in-Residence at Crater Lake, Acadia, Glacier and her four-week residency at Capitol Reef.

Kit Frost has been an Artist-in-Residence at many national parks and monuments and conducts photography workshops throughout the west. She draws inspiration from the works of Thomas Moran, Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keefe, relating to the monumental aspects of the American landscape.

Sharing the artist experience with others is a key component of the park’s Artist-in-Residence program.
