MOAB, UT— On Monday October 9, 2023, Grand County Dispatch received a report of an unresponsive person at Grand View Point at the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. National Park Service rangers, Grand County EMS, and Classic Air Medical personnel responded to the scene. CPR was performed but life-saving efforts were not successful. San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and the National Park Service are investigating. The deceased is a 63-year-old woman from Washington state.
