![]() NPS Photo Visitors may view launches that are scheduled during park operating hours. During the summer, the launch must occur within the hours 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM. In the winter the launch must occur within the hours of 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM. It is recommended to be in the park a few hours early if possible. Important information about rocket launch viewing at Canaveral National Seashore: During rocket launches, the Playalinda Beach Road will close between the entry gate and parking lot #1 one half hour (30 minutes) prior to the launch to vehicle, foot, and bicycle traffic to keep roadways clear in the event of an emergency. Playalinda Beach Road will reopen immediately following a successful launch or confirmed cancellation of the launch. Items to bring with you for your comfort:
