The Outer Banks of North Carolina have some of the best seafood to be found anywhere. Restaurants in the villages around the seashore serve fresh, locally caught seafood, as well as an array of other types of food. Sleeping

There are four NPS-operated campgrounds along the seashore.

  • Oregon Inlet Campground on Bodie Island
  • Cape Point Campground on Hatteras Island
  • Frisco Campground on Hatteras Island
  • Ocracoke Campground on Ocracoke Island
