For the second summer, the National Park Service (NPS) has hired a Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) crew to assist with many park projects. These energetic young students recently performed valuable brush clearing and trail maintenance work in the Buxton Woods Trail near the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Work conditions have been difficult with the hot weather but that makes for a refreshing afternoon swim after the work is complete!
