Superintendent Barclay Trimble announced today that on Saturday, September 28, 2013, Wright Brothers National Memorial will celebrate National Public Lands Day by offering free admission to park visitors. National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the largest, hands-on volunteer effort in the The staff at Wright Brothers National Memorial, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and Cape Hatteras National Seashore encourage the park's friends, neighbors and visitors to get reacquainted with their local national parks on National Public Lands Day.Entrance fees for passengers in both private and commercial vehicles will be waived at Wright Brothers National Memorial on September 28, 2013, while recreation "user fees" such as camping fees and lighthouse climbing fees are not covered under this waiver.
