The National Park Service (NPS) announces that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Notice of Availability (NOA) for the recently released final Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan/ Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for Cape Hatteras National Seashore has been published in the Federal Register. The EPA NOA officially begins the 30-day waiting period before the Record of Decision (ROD) can be issued. Electronic copies the FEIS are available on the NPS Planning, Environment and Public Comment (PEPC) web site for the project at: https://parkplanning.nps.gov/documentsList.cfm?projectID=10641 A limited number of hard copies or a CD of the FEIS are available at the Seashore headquarters, 1401 National Park Drive, Manteo, NC 27954. Requests should be made to Superintendent Mike Murray, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, 1401 National Park Drive, Manteo, NC 27954. Copies have been provided to local libraries in Manteo, Kill Devil Hills, Hatteras Village, and Ocracoke, North Carolina. |
