Commercial Use Authorizations Fees and Payments

The National Park Service is directed by law* to collect a reasonable fee for Commercial Use Authorizations (CUAs) in an amount that is, at minimum, sufficient to recover the NPS costs in administering and managing the CUAs. CUA holders are subject to a market price fee calculated by gross receipts earned from park-based operations. Application fees are credited to the CUA holder upon payment of market price fee.

The new fee rate for Commercial Use Authorizations (CUA) will be in effect beginning in 2018. The new fee structure of the CUA program adopts the market price methodology as described in the table below. The new fee structure includes a non-refundable fee of $100.00. The fee determined for managing CUA’s is 3% of the CUA’s annual gross revenues, or $300.00, whichever is greater.

* National Parks Omnibus Management Act of 1998, Public Law 105-391 (Section 418)

CUA Fee Structure - 2018

Application Fee $100 non-refundable fee paid by new and returning CUA holders
Management Fee 3% of gross receipts or $300.00, whichever is greater.
Payment Schedule All applicants will submit a non-refundable, $100 application fee with their application. Cape Cod National Seashore will not review an application without this fee.

No later than April 30 each year, CUA holders will submit gross receipt data and their management fee. If submitting 3% of their gross receipts, the CUA holder may subtract the $100 application fee. If submitting the minimum $300, the CUA holder may not subtract the $100 application fee.
