VOLUNTEER WITH US

Other great ways to work with the National Parks is to volunteer! Volunteers gain real work experience and valuable job skills that can be added to your resume or scholarship application. Fill out and print the VIP Application and send to the Volunteer Coordinator for review.

High school and college students can volunteer directly through the park, the local Office of Dine' Youth, the Navajo Nation Workforce Development Office or the Chinle Chapter's Summer Youth Employment Program. Some tribal agencies pay students to work within the community including the park. Ask us about volunteer opportunities at Canyon de Chelly!

STUDENT CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is a great program for high school and college students willing to work in the National Parks. Find out more about this great program at www.thesca.org.

When funding is available, the SCA offers local Native American high school students the chance to join the Native American Crew at Canyon de Chelly each summer. Consider spending your summer working in the park.
