St. Croix, US Virgin Islands — Christiansted National Historic Site is accepting applications for our Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program this summer. Due to COVID-19, the Park has taken measures to reduce the size of the program to ensure safety and reduce any risks of high congregation of people in the workplace. The Park will select 8 applicants this year. Applicants MUST be between the ages of 15-18 years old to qualify. We encourage applicants to complete the application form and submit to the National Park Service either by email, or in person to the second floor of the Customs House in Christiansted no later than May 27, 2022.
The program is anticipated to start on June 6, 2022 and continue until July 29, 2022. The selected participants will gain valuable work experience in a wide array of Park Service career opportunities, including Facilities and Maintenance, Administration, Resource Management (Biology, History, Anthropology, and Museums Collections), Interpretation, and Law enforcement experiences.
