Montrose, CO: Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park will waive its entrance fee on four days in 2019.
The four entrance fee-free days for 2019 will be:
* Saturday, April 20 – Start of National Park Week/National Junior Ranger Day
* Sunday, August 25 – National Park Service Anniversary
* Saturday, September 28 – National Public Lands Day
* Monday, November 11 – Veterans Day
“We hope that these entrance fee-free days might encourage some people to visit who might not otherwise do so,” said park Superintendent Bruce Noble. “There are many in our local communities who have never visited, or haven’t in a long time.”
Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park normally charges $20 per vehicle, $15 per motorcycle and $10 per pedestrian or bicycle. Entrance fees are good for seven days. The entrance fee waiver for the fee-free days does not cover user fees for camping.
