March Flash Mob Clean-Up

Volunteers and park staff will gather on Saturday, March 21st, 2020, for the monthly Flash Mob Clean Up. This month’s cleanup will take place at the Highway 96 Day Use Area between Lumberton and Silsbee, near the Village Creek boat launch. 

The clean-up will start at 10 am with a short safety briefing and will end at noon. Volunteers are required to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and long-sleeved shirts. Other equipment and safety tools will be provided by park staff.  

The term “flash-mob” describes a large gathering where people perform an unusual or seemingly random act and then disperse. The preserve’s monthly Flash Mob clean-up is a short volunteer event for the public to participate in and help the preserve address on-going litter clean up and maintenance needs.
