Summertime brings hot and humid weather with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoons. The average high temperature in January is 77 degrees Fahrenheit and in August, 90 degrees. The average rainfall for the area is 1.93 inches in January and 9.17 inches in August. Hurricane season is June 1 through November 30.
