You are invited to join Biscayne National Park, the South Florida National Parks Trust and the National Parks Conservation Association in celbrating the 40th anniversary of the park's establishment. An entire weekend of events has been planned to commemorate the past, take stock of the present, and celebrate the future.

Friday, October 17

The South Florida National Parks Trust hosts a gala dinner and silent auction honoring the park's early champions at the Deering Estate at Cutler. Proceeds benefit the park's education programs. Details are available by calling 305-665-4769.

Saturday, October 18

The National Parks Conservation Association's Sun Coast Office hosts a "State of the Park" Symposium at the Deering Estate at Cutler. Details at 954-961-1280, x203.

Sunday October 19

Biscayne National Park hosts a free family celebration featuring a bayside concert by Grant Livingston, screenings of a documentary about the park's establishment, book signings by Lloyd Miller, hands-on activities for kids, and a birthday cake and piñata for all!
