As Tropical Storm Fay moves away from south Florida, Biscayne National Park reopens to the public. Effective 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, all park facilities (including those on Boca Chita, Elliott and Adams Keys) and the mainland area at Convoy Point (9 miles east of Homestead), concession-operated boat tours, and visitor services will be open to the public. Park services and facilities had been curtailed in preparation for Tropical Storm Fay. Initial assessments of park facilities indicate no apparent damage resulting from the storm.
